Why join the BRLA?

Do you want the lake to remain healthy and vibrant for generations to come?

The BRLA strives to protect the water, shores, and overall natural environment of the Big Rideau Lake. We report and advocate on environmental issues that affect our area. Your BRLA membership will support testing for water quality, the engagement of experts, and the adoption of environmental best practices around the lake.

Are you an avid boater concerned with safe fishing, sailing, waterskiing and more?

The shoal marker program is one of the oldest for the BRLA. The more than 120 shoal markers installed, removed, and maintained by the BRLA are essential to preserving safe navigation on the lake and prevent costly damages to hulls and motors.

Are you looking to connect with others on the lake?

Become a member of the BRLA and gain access to our Cow Island property. Join events including the Kids Day Camp, Summer Sounds Concert, Sailing Regatta as well as the annual Canada Day Fireworks!

Do you want lake interests represented in local, provincial, and federal governments?

The BRLA monitors governments' activities, listens to members' concerns and collaborates with other lake associations to represent the lake interests at all levels of government, when necessary.

Join the BRLA today and help build a strong community in a safe and healthy environment on and around Big Rideau Lake.
